Located within the Durmitor National Park, under UNESCO protection since 1980, it is one of the main hiking and tourist destinations in Montenegro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Geographical and morphological characteristics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Durmitor massif rises from the canyons of the Tara and Piva rivers, with a height difference of over 2,000 meters. Among the Durmitor peaks that dominate the view, the following stand out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Prutas (2,393 m)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Medjed (2,287 m)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Savin Kuk (2,313 m)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mina&#039;s Pass (2,387 m)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Teeth<\/strong>, with sharp alpine forms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Saddle beam, Helmets, Colorful harnesses, Red beam, Twisted beam, Round head, Height<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the central peaks of Durmitor, it is also possible to see wider areas of Montenegro and the region from the top. Views include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tara Canyon<\/strong>\u00a0and part of the plateau\u00a0<strong>Sinjajevine<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Magli\u0107 Mountains<\/strong>\u00a0(the highest peak of Bosnia and Herzegovina),\u00a0<strong>Bio\u010d<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Volujak<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coma<\/strong>\u00a0and parts\u00a0<strong>Damned<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On clear days, on the horizon can be seen and\u00a0<strong>Skadar Lake<\/strong>\u00a0i\u00a0<strong>Adriatic Sea<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This point offers a panorama that encompasses even the most remote parts of Montenegro, providing a clear insight into the ramified and diverse morphology of the Dinaric system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Season for climbing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most suitable period for the climb is from June to October. In the early summer months, there may be residual snow on some parts of the trail, especially on the northern exposures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Protection and security<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bobotov Kuk is located within the Durmitor National Park. Movement is allowed only on marked trails. It is recommended:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Checking the weather forecast<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bring enough water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use of hiking equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registration in the hiking book and informing the local NP service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Importance and recommendation for visitors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bobotov Kuk has multiple significance: geomorphologically as the highest point of Durmitor, symbolically as the central peak of Montenegrin mountaineering, and as an easily recognizable tourist destination.
