Bobotov Kuk – Climb to the roof of Durmitor (2,523 m)

Bobotov Kuk is the highest peak of Durmitor National Park and one of the most impressive mountain destinations in Montenegro. Climbing this peak is a true mountaineering feat and the highlight of any visit to Durmitor.

From the very top, there is a spectacular panoramic view of the entire Durmitor massif, numerous peaks, valleys and lakes, as well as the surrounding mountains. The most common and most accessible route leads from the Sedlo pass, is well marked and not too technically demanding, but requires good physical fitness, stable footwear and favorable weather conditions.

The ascent takes about 3 hours, while the descent takes about 2.5 hours. During the ascent, you pass through a high-mountain environment, over sluices and rocky ridges, with constantly open vistas that make this ascent one of the most attractive in the region.
