Bobotov Kuk – Climb to the roof of Durmitor

From Ivan Dol to Žabljak

Bobotov Kuk (2,523 m) It is the highest peak in Durmitor National Park and one of the most rewarding hiking tours in Montenegro. This classic high-mountain route begins in John the Baptist, leads through rugged alpine terrain to the very summit, and ends with a descent towards Frog. From the summit, there are breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Durmitor massif and the surrounding mountain peaks.

The trail is demanding but well waymarked and accessible to physically fit, experienced hikers with the appropriate equipment. You can expect a continuous ascent through rocky stretches and open alpine landscapes, followed by a long and scenic descent towards Žabljak.
