Mali & Veliki Međed Loop – The Ultimate Challenge of Durmitor

The Small & Large Bear Loop is one of the most demanding hiking tours in Durmitor National Park, designed for very experienced hikers seeking a serious mountain challenge. The route begins and ends at the car park by Black Lake, forming an extremely strenuous high-altitude circular trail.

The path climbs towards Little Bear, and then continues towards The Great Bear, crossing steep slopes, exposed stretches and extremely demanding terrain. This tour demands top physical fitness, a sure-footed step and stable weather conditions. The reward for the effort is the wild Alpine atmosphere and sweeping panoramic views of the central massif of Durmitor.
