Zupci – The Jagged Towers of Durmitor

Zupci is one of the more impressive peaks of Durmitor. It is a ridge about 1100 m long, rising south of the highest part of the Durmitor massif.

Zupci (up to 2,309 m) is one of the most impressive rock formations of Durmitor. This spectacular ridge, approximately 1,100 metres long, rises south of the highest part of the Durmitor massif.

The ridge consists of 14 distinctive limestone towers, rising between approximately 2,200 and 2,300 metres. Their sharp, tooth-like shapes give Zupci its unmistakable appearance and make it one of the most dramatic features of Durmitor's high-mountain landscape.

The individual towers of Zupci are not accessible by conventional hiking and require technical alpine climbing. Hikers, however, can experience the massif from surrounding mountain trails and routes passing beneath and around the ridge.
