Snowshoeing on Durmitor

Snowshoeing is a wonderful way to combine outdoor recreation, physical activity, and the experience of Durmitor's winter landscapes.

For visitors who prefer exploring the snow on foot, snowshoeing is an excellent alternative to skiing. Snowshoes can be rented at the Durmitor National Park Visitor Centre and at Savin Kuk Ski Centre for €4. Walking poles are also available for rent for €3.

Crno jezero – Savin Kuk Snowshoe Trail

There is a marked snowshoe trail leading from Crno jezero to Savin Kuk Ski Centre.

The trail is 6.7 kilometres long, with approximately 268 metres of elevation gain, and takes about two hours to complete. It is classified as easy and offers a chance to enjoy Durmitor's winter landscapes away from the usual skiing activities.

Before setting out, it is recommended to check the weather, altitude and snow conditions, as well as current trail conditions.
