Rafting and kayaking

The Tara River, which is drinkable throughout its entire course, will provide you with unforgettable moments and a unique feeling while rafting or kayaking.

Here, in this canyon, in its environment, there is no shortage of nature. There you will meet houses, the remains of mills, monasteries, but also shepherds and young deer drinking water at their watering hole. There are springs, white as snow and the sky blue as flax, meadows, preserved authentic villages, smaller and larger piers, harbors, stops for rafts and rafters, water as clean as a tear, and flora and fauna that will take your breath away.

Wooden boat rides and kayaking on one of the most beautiful lakes in Montenegro – Crno Jezero – are organized by the Park. The coniferous forest surrounding the lake and the mountain peaks of Međed, Savin Kuk and Crvena Greda give it a special beauty, which makes this lake a trademark of the Park. The lake is located at 1,416 meters above sea level and consists of two smaller lakes, connected by a narrow stream. Boats can be rented from the Park ranger on duty at Crno Jezero.

The Tara Canyon is a precipice deep into the earth, a furrow cut vertically and deeply between high mountains, one of the deepest, created by river erosion, chasms in the world, the deepest canyon in Europe and one of the most beautiful in the world.
